2008 Home Sales for Ogden UT

Like many other cities in Weber County, Ogden saw an increase in median and average sold price. Median price increased from $120,000 to $126,000 and average sold price increased from $132,704 to $138,026. Ogden homes are among the most affordable in Utah, even when they are overpriced by 10% like they are currently.  There are 7.66 months of active inventory and 763 active listings.

2008 Homes Sales for West Valley UT

Houses sold in West Valley went below 1,000 in 2008, down 33%. Median sold price went from $189,000 in 2007 to $183,000 in 2008 and are currently listed at $190,000. Average sold price went down 5.4% to $185,048 and is currently listed about 8% higher than that. With 7 months of inventory, there are still many homes in West Valley for every type of buyer.

2008 Home Sales for West Jordan UT

Sales in West Jordan went down by about 30%. Average price of homes sold went down by just 2.17%, and median price went down by almost 3%. There are 6.62 months of inventory and plenty of homes to choose from. Currently, homes in West Jordan UT are priced at about 7% more than what they for last year.

2008 Home Sales for Taylorsville UT

Like most cities in the area, Taylorsville home sales dropped by 28%. Median sold price went down 2.6% to $185,000 and average sold price went down 3.3% to $189,810.  With 5.76 months of inventory, Taylorsville is on the lower end of the field when comparing with the rest of the county.  There are 220 actively listed homes in Taylorsville, about half the number of what sold last year.

2008 Home Sales for South Jordan UT

South Jordan homes saw a decrease of only 12.72%. Seeing there is currently almost one year of inventory, many homes probably foreclosed. Median price of homes sold increased by just under one percent to 340,000. 556 homes sold last year and there are 554 MLS homes listed for sale right now. Many sellers may have to lower their prices to intrugue the buyers.

2008 Home Sales for Sandy UT

Just under 1,000 houses sold in 2008, down almost 28% from 2007. Average sold price went from $351,114 to $321,137, down 8.5%. Median sold price went down 6.5%, from $286,250 to $267,500.  Current average price of Sandy homes is 30% more than what sold price was in 2008.  Current median price is almost 19% more than sold price last year.  There are 710 MLS homes listed and 8.85 months of inventory.

2008 Home Sales for Salt Lake City UT

Salt Lake City actually saw a rise in median home prices by 1.2% up to $220,000. On the other hand, it appears that less high end houses were sold because the average price went down 1.32% to $266,923.  28% less homes in Salt Lake City were sold in 2008 and current average and median prices are at least 10% higher than what they sold at over the past two years. The capital city has 7.74 months of inventory and 2165 active listings.

2008 Home Sales for Riverton UT

Riverton sales were down by 21% in 2008, and house prices went down by about 5.5%.  The median sold price went down to $269,450 and the average sold price was at $305,411. With many homes listed in Riverton, buyers are bound to find something they like.  Current home prices are higher now than they were even in 2007.

2008 Home Sales for Murray UT

Even though the number of homes sold dropped by about 21%, Murray beat the odds seeing both median and average home prices increase from 2007 to 2008. Median sold price reached $195,000 and average sold price got up to $212,772.  There are seven months of inventory, and the current median home prices are 15% higher than what they sold for in 2008.  With 239 active MLS listings, there are plenty of great homes in Murray.

2008 Home Sales for Midvale UT

Median sold prices remained the same in 2008 for Midvale at $199,000. There was a dramatic decrease in number of homes sold from 416 to 251 but there are 6.74 months of inventory so the situation isn't too bleak.  Prices have currently climbed a little and there are 141 homes for sale in Midvale.
